Job Description:

In the Marketing and Applications Engineer role you will use your power electronics systems engineering background to manage evaluation boards development and customer requirements. The Marketing and Applications Engineer is a valued team member responsible for assisting and supporting the product marketing team and customer operations team in evaluation boards management and development, field collateral preparation, technical documentations’ creation and upgrade, website conformity and integrity, and customer support. The successful candidate will be required to actively coordinate with product marketing team and customer operations team and proactively self-train in the pursuit of well-execution of mentioned targets.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, development, verification, manufacturing and test of evaluation boards and reference designs
• Ensure products and evaluation boards and reference designs are enabled with proper documentation
• Support the analysis, development and optimization of power electronics topologies and circuits that demonstrate the advantages of GaN E-HEMTs
  
• Use schematic, layout, calculation and simulation tools for printed circuit board generation, application analysis and circuit evaluation
  
• Maintain an understanding of solutions available from competitors
  
• Assist in supporting and fielding requests from customers
  
• Assist in preparing the collateral for new product rollouts and training presentations
  
• Assist in handling internal and external sales required support and documentation
  
• Ensure conformity and integrity of GaN Systems website pages
• Assist in creating business reports
  
• Assist in updating website contents
  
• Review and assist in the development of improved processes for product and evaluation boards development and documentation

Required Skills:

• Basic electric circuit design and analysis
• Awareness of power semiconductor devices
  
• Knowledge of different topologies (half/full bridge, PFC, inverter and resonant circuit
  
• Basic knowledge of analog, digital control circuit, microcontroller and DSP programming
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
• Strong organizational skills
  
• A passion for power systems, power devices and providing world-class technical support to customers
• Ambitious, determined, and passionate character who desires to learn, influence, and excel
  
• Devoted spirit and keen interest to continually gain experience in all business sectors of a leading and emerging technology company
• Demonstrated work ethic and team player

Desired:

• Previous experience in an electronics laboratory is preferred
  
• Knowledge and design/application experience with GaN and/or SiC power device is a plus
  
• Printed circuit board project experience is a plus
  
• An individual who desires to influence the direction of a leading emerging technology company
  

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in a qualified electrical engineering program. Master’s degree is a plus.
